Generally yes, with a few sensible precautions, and the biggest one is choosing where you sit.

For most pregnancies, manicures and pedicures are generally considered safe with precautions: choose a well-ventilated salon to minimize fumes, keep nail-lamp exposure brief or skip it, and confirm sanitized tools. Always check with your OB first. Ventilation is the single biggest salon factor.
This is general information, not medical advice. Your OB knows your pregnancy best.

The Three Questions Expecting Guests Ask
01
Is the Smell of Acrylic Nails Bad When Pregnant?
The smell comes from vaporized monomer and solvents. A client visit is different from workplace exposure, but the practical rule is simple: if the air smells strong at the door, do not spend an hour sitting in it.
Lamp exposure is brief and localized. If you want to minimize it, choose dip or classic polish, or use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ or dark fingerless gloves for gel.
Classic polish and dip are popular because they avoid a lamp; gel is also widely used. Salon air quality, sanitation, and your own medical guidance matter most.
There is no universal salon ban by trimester. Minimize unnecessary chemical exposure and follow any personal recommendation from your OB.
